Protective Behaviours WA is Western Australia’s leading prevention education organisation working in WA and Internationally to prevent child abuse.
Our programs seek to prevent child abuse by providing greater awareness and understanding; as well as providing the tools and strategies for individuals, organisations, parents, families and communities to address and deal with these issues. Our strong and specialised service provides a dynamic professional response to child protection.
We provide professional training workshops accredited through Protective Behaviours Australia to a broad range of service providers, parents, carers, teachers and child care workers. Our workshops have been designed to develop capacity building within the community and we also offer a direct service for victims and their families.
Further to professional training we also offer parents and carers our customised training workshops that can be held on behalf of an organistation such as a playgroup, sporting or community group or alternatively parents may attend our regular Parent Workshop Evenings as individuals.
In addition to eduction and training we offer a comprehensive range of resources open to the community providing an extensive array of learning materials including storybooks, lesson plan workbooks, CD roms activity sheets, puppetry and visual learning aids.
The Protective Behaviours Program is child-focused, and informed by a fundamental belief that children have a right to physical and psychological safety at all times , and that we as individuals, parents, communities and governments must play a part in protecting children of all ages and walks of life.
Protective Behaviours WA is primarily committed to strengthening the capacity of individuals, parents, communities and governments to protect children from sexual abuse and our programs have been designed to equip people with the knowledge and tools to shield children from harm.
